Particularly for refugees and groups that are often educationaly siloed.
Over 3.5 million refugees have entered the US since 1975. Far too many refugee students must contend with barriers to access, low quality, and limited relevance in their learning opportunities.
Only 63% of refugee children attend primary school, compared to 91% of children globally. As refugee children get older, this gap grows. In society, uneducated individuals are rarely able to obtain well paying jobs, often turn to crime, experience a shorter life expectancy and fail to gain capital.
They become small in society, living line and the
poverty line and blending into the global poor.
RefugeEd wants to ensure everyone has access to education by removing documentation, income, and literacy barriers.
We've built a community of educators that care. With a 4:1 ratio of tutors to students, we make sure that every student learns something valuable.
